MyDeckhand was born from a problem I experienced myself.

As a boat owner and someone who has worked in the marine industry for nearly a decade, I've seen first-hand how challenging it can be to keep on top of maintenance, servicing and the paperwork that comes with owning a boat. As an active liveaboard, I know how easy it is for things to become complicated and stressful.

At the same time, I've grown up alongside rapidly developing technology and seen how it's transforming boating, from navigation apps to connected equipment onboard. I wanted that same simplicity when it came to managing my own boat.

I wanted a digital deckhand in my pocket — something simple, accessible and built around the way boat owners actually manage their boats.

The idea was simple: replace the cupboard full of paperwork with one organised digital home for your boat.

That's where MyDeckhand began.

We'd rather build a smaller number of genuinely useful features than fill the app with things nobody needs.
